Helleborus, also known as a Christmas or Lenten Rose, is a perennial plant prized for its elegant, nodding flowers that bloom in winter and early spring. 

It thrives in shaded or woodland areas and features evergreen leaves, often with attractive marbled or veined patterns.

‘Winterbells’ is a hybrid hellebore known for its long flowering period, which typically lasts from winter into spring. It features dark green, leathery leaves and reddish-brown stems that produce nodding, bell-shaped flowers that start as greenish-cream with pink-flushed backs and age to a greener colour. This plant is a hybrid of Helleborus niger and Helleborus foetidus and is a hardy, low-maintenance plant that is ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and containers.
